A quick search of Amazon leads to hundreds of sets, combos, etc. Luckily, I have picked out what I would consider my top 5 snorkel combos for both adults and kids. This list considers budget restrictions, kids gear, and higher end gear.
1. Cressi Frog Plus Fins with Dive Mask Dry Snorkel Set
My favorite combo comes first. For the new or experienced snorkeler, this is the set you want if you are serious about quality.
2. Phantom Aquatics Cancun Mask and Snorkel Combo
Easily the most affordable, well rated, and feature rich mask/combo available. At $24 this is a quickest way to hit the water.
3. U.S. Divers Junior Regal Mask, Trigger Fins and Laguna Snorkel Combo Set ( FOR KIDS)
I wouldn’t dare forget about the most important people on the trip! This took research, but this is by far the best quality for the money set for the kids.
4. Cressi Scuba Diving Snorkeling Freediving Mask Snorkel Set
My top pick for a reason…for the price, and the brand name, this is your best all around bet for a snorkel set/combo that will last.
5. U.S Divers Lux LX Mask, Fins, and Snorkel Combo Set
An all-in-one solution for those ready to hit the water. At an affordable price, this snorkel gear is definitely worth a look.
1. Cressi Frog Plus Fin With Dive Mask Dry Snorkel Set
Avoid dive shop prices but get dive shop quality gear! Thanks to Cressi, this is now possible with the Cressi fins, mask and snorkel set.
Cressi mean quality and you will not be disappointed. The $100-$130 price tag is more than justified by the features, make, and brand behind this combo.
This Cressi mask is top notch. It has every feature I look for each time I am buying a mask. Low volume, revolving (easily adjustable) straps, an array of colors, and the ability to accept custom lenses. In Cressi’s words: “Its low-volume, twin-lens design gives divers and snorkelers a proven combination of size, fit, and durability. Lightweight and easy-to-clear it has swiveling, quick adjusting buckles and accepts corrective lenses.”
Need I say more?
The snorkel and fins included in this set are just as nice as the mask. The Cressi Supernova Dry keeps water out and has the purge valve on the bottom so clearing is incredibly easy. For those who are not as familiar with purge valves, it is a little valve at the lowest point of the snorkel which water can be expelled from, but will not let water in. Therefore, clearing your snorkel is easier than it would be without the valve.
The Cressi Frog Plus Dive fins can run anywhere from $100-$160 just by themselves! See what I mean by this is a REALLY good deal on this gear? Featuring swim rails, these fins are perfect for those just learning and don’t quite have their kick optimized.
This combo has 4.8 out 5 stars with over 60 Reviews! I told you this was a good deal on awesome gear!

2. Phantom Aquatic Cancun Mask Snorkel Combo
If you are looking for a solid , affordable, yet functional snorkel combo then the Phantom Aquatic Cancun Mask Snorkel Combo is for you. Coming in at only $23, this one is hard to beat!
The top features that draw me in are the semi-dry top valve on the snorkel and low internal volume of the mask. For those who are new to snorkeling, having water enter your snorkel is a frustrating experience and can be a pain. This snorkel helps prevent this issues as well as has a low volume so if you decide to dive under, equalizing will not be an issue.
Another issue that this mask addresses is face size. While we all wish we could try on our mask before purchasing, that just isn’t always the case. Luckily the reviews such as this one:
“My husband has a very thin face and facial hair, and I have a long rather square face. We were both able to wear these masks with no problems” show that the Phantom Combo will not cause any problems.
In terms of customization…you have 13 colors to choose from! I personally prefer the silicon areas to be clear as it lets in more light, but it is up to you. Consider getting different colors for the whole family.

Can’t forget about the kids! After all, they will be even more excited to hit the water than you!
While there are a ton of super cheap, breakable, leaky, sets out there…I have dug through and found a set that will keep your kids happy and their faces dry. One of the biggest problems I have seen with “junior, youth, kids” snorkel sets is mask quality. I have cousins who enjoy swimming and I have witnessed time after time them surfacing with mask full of water!
Luckily the Junior Regal Mask in this combo has been highly tested and reviewed and tested and I am confident in saying it is the best bang for you buck. The quick release and adjustable straps will keep you from having to fix your children’s masks every 2 minutes. From the words of an Amazon reviewer: “The mask is unbelievable – doesn’t leak AT ALL.” Easy enough.
I was surprised to learn that this snorkel has a dry top AND a lower purge valve! That is unheard of in most junior/youth snorkel gear combos. This is perfect for teaching your kids how to dive underwater without the nasty consequence of a mouth full of water. Still be sure to teach them how to purge though.
The Trigger fins are adjustable and very good for first time snorkelers. After reading tons of the reviews, there are very few mentions of any issues with the fins. Just be sure your kids know a good level of fit before sending them off. No need for blisters on vacation!
We all know kids can be picky, so this set comes in both blue and purple and comes with a mesh carrying bag for the beach.

Bring on the water! Being an avid free-diver, it is always good seeing multi-functionality in a product. For those who are willing to spend slightly more, the rewards are great the Cressi Mask Snorkel Set.

- Huge Field-of-view

What do you mean a dry snorkel? Designed for a multitude of practices, the snorkel in this set will keep water from getting in EVEN WHEN SUBMERGED. This is awesome for those who like to swim down and check out what is on bottom, or for kids who aren’t used to clearing out a snorkel.
The Cressi Snorkeling Snorkel Set has over 250 5 Star Reviews on Amazon! I would say that speak for itself, but lets not forget it comes with a carrying case as well. For the color advocate, it is available in 9 slick colors and is available for only $39.99.
A final reason to consider this mask is if you decide to step up, or down I suppose, to scuba diving. I have borrowed this mask for a dive before and it performed perfectly. Low volume, wide view, and it did not fog up throughout the dive.

If you need a cheaper alternative, I would recommend looking at my review of the Phantom Aquatic Snorkel Set.
Looking to knock the whole shopping list off in one go?
For the price, the U.S. Divers Mask/Fin/Snorkel Combo is perfect for anyone looking to get into snorkeling or preparing to hit the water. With fins included, this is the most well rounded set I have reviewed to date.
Lets start with the mask. U.S Divers is a well known brand and this mask features tempered glass with “panoramic lens” so you can truly see everything under the sea. An adjustable strap makes it easy for the wife and/or kids to adjust it to fit. A multitude of colors and a slick design make this one of my favorite combo masks available.
Moving onto the snorkel, they have included a Dry Snorkel from Phoenix which means you won’t have to be clearing out after each dive below the surface. This small, but important, features is invaluable if the sea is slightly rough or you enjoy diving to the bottom. A silicone mouthpiece and a mask clip ensure that your jaw will not tire out during use.
Last but not least are the Pivot Flex Fins. Digging into the reviews you can find user praising the fins with quotes like: “The adjustable straps are terrific; very easy to use and sturdy.” I would definitely recommend looking into the sizing as much as possible. Another alternative is to go bigger, and buy fin socks such as these 2mm Neoprene Snorkeling Fin Socks by H2ODYESSY to prevent any rubbing and ensure fit. I wear these all the time freediving
Coming in at a 4.2 out of 5 stars on Amazon, I highly recommend this set to those looking to get into snorkeling and want to buy all the necessary gear at once.
